[ Despite all her protests, her legs still feel like liquid when Mordecai sets her down on them. She doesn't know if it's a physical response – for however much anything can still be physical here – or just the shock of what had happened coming over her in waves. If she'd been alive, still worried about the others more than herself, she might have insisted on making it alone, but she reaches up and sets a trembling hand atop Mordecai's, not trusting herself fully to stay upright just yet. But she's walking on her own two feet, and even if the choked noise she makes still isn't quite a laugh, it's an improvement from before. ]
I think for now... I'd like to just find somewhere to sit and take all this in. And maybe later, when we're all a little calmer... I try and understand why they'd do this. Or I can try to, at least.
