[Parker Rochford's extremely good at throwing memorial parties. This one shouldn't be any different, just because it had been for a girl she promised to protect, right? A girl betrayed by someone she loved, because she thought they could be trusted. Parker probably should have sat this one out, but instead, she's gone the full nine yards with it, because grief can still be classy, if you try hard enough. But after she's made sure that no one's spiked the punch (there's a time and a place, and that's not now!!!) and that everyone's been at least offered a vegetable, Parker is... really not feeling the energy of her own 'party'. She means to slink off on her own, maybe go run on the treadmill until she can't anymore, when she spots Grace, keeping an eye on things.
Parker hadn't expected to get along with Grace. Instead, she expected to butt heads with her. There was only room for one protective, quick-talking, joke-cracking teen who performed some form of dance. But the more they talked over the weeks, the more that they shared laughs and tears and gossip, Parker had somehow found herself fond of Grace. While there was still some competition to one-up each other at most turns, Grace had proven herself to be reliable, a good gym buddy, and... a friend? Yeah, that was it-- Grace was her friend. And if Parker had a choice between being alone, and being with her friend tonight, she realizes she would want to choose to be with Grace. So instead of just darting out, like the plan had been, she bumps against Grace's shoulder.]
