[It's been a few months since their road trip to end all road trips started. They've been a variety of places; Natalie's world for a few days so she could tie up a few loose ends, the homes of their friends, various landmarks across various worlds... Until one day, Natalie realizes somewhere incredibly important, extremely crucial that they haven't been yet.

Disneyland.

That's how they end up in California on a bright day in the spring. It's crowded and hectic, because of course it is, but somehow Natalie doesn't mind the crazy amounts of people all around. She's more focused on the look on Jezebel's face every time she sees something new.]

Oh my god. We have to try Splash Mountain.

[aflatouttahell]

[It's so crowded! And so very... she feels like this is what Hell would be like if she had run things, and not in a bad way? Fun Hell, where the damned get to ride roller coasters. And maybe actually get better instead of anarchy. And you can buy frozen lemonade!! Which might be the best thing ever.]

Splash Mountain? Sure, okay!

[robitussin]

[Natalie glances down at the map in her hands (always the planner, she is) and points in the general direction of Splash Mountain.]

Wait. Are you okay with getting really wet? Because, warning you now, it isn't called that for nothing.

[aflatouttahell]

Oh, it's a water ride? That makes sense... uh, I'm fine with it! The cold doesn't bother me nearly as much as it used to.

[Sorry, Anna's sister.]

[robitussin]

Cool. They take your picture and everything, I think you'll like it. It's this way.

[Time to take Jezebel's hand again so they don't get lost on the way.]

[aflatouttahell]

They take my picture? Like, on the ride?

[WHEN WOULD THEY DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT?

And yes. So they don't get separated. Obviously.]

Lead the way, Natalie!

Uh huh. Right when you hit this pool of water at the very bottom, they take your picture so you can see what your face was like.

[Clearly this is the only reason they would ever hold hands!

Either way, I am saying that the lines here are nonexistent due to the magic of museboxing.]

At the very bottom, huh?

[What a strange way to handle that. But now they are on the ride, so that is awesome.]

So what kind of ride is it, anyway?

[She asked, now that they're buckled in. She was a little too busy looking at Natalie to notice what Splash Mountain is about on the way in here, oops?]

[robitussin]

It's like... Not really sure I would call it a roller coaster until the last part. But you'll see.

[Here they go!]

[aflatouttahell]

[Look at all these animatronic animals.]

Uh... huh. And they start with singing?

[robitussin]

Yeah. I mean, it's Disney. There's a lot of singing to go around.

[aflatouttahell]

I guess so. Speaking of, are there any High School Musical things here? That's Disney, right?

[robitussin]

It's Disney Channel, I don't think it counts. There's a difference—

[But she pauses as the ride starts going a little faster.]

Oh, here we go.

[aflatouttahell]

A diff-?

[They sure are going faster. And the animatronics have turned... foreboding.

And up there-]

Is that just... a drop?

[robitussin]

Yes.

[Prepare yourself, Jez.]

[aflatouttahell]

Oh.

[And in the split-second before they go over, she sees how far down is.]

Oh.

[Annnnd she is clinging to your arm, Natalie. Unless it is in the air, then she's just clinging to you.]

[robitussin]

[It is definitely not in the air, and she might be clinging a little too. But in a subtle way. She's totally cool, she's got this.

She's definitely making a ridiculous face when they both get soaked, though. See icon, only more extreme. That's going to be fun when they get the picture.]

[Well her face is definitely mostly panic. And now she is also shivering because wet.]

Th-that was... fun?

[It's not sarcastic, she's just... in hindsight, that was fun.]

[robitussin]

[Even if it's not sarcastic, something about her tone makes Natalie laugh.]

You sound surprised.

[aflatouttahell]

I was screaming and grabbing onto you! I was... expecting to be angry? But no, that was fun.

[robitussin]

Wait, why were you going to be angry? Because of the drop?

[aflatouttahell]

Yes? I don't know, I think I probably should have realized that was the point of the ride, but I missed that, somehow.

[robitussin]

Well. Better or worse than Space Mountain?

[aflatouttahell]

I mean... at least Space Mountain didn't lure you in with animatronic animals? But I don't know. I liked both of them.

[robitussin]

Yeah, starting with cute animals when you're headed for a fifty foot drop is a little misleading, I'm with you there.
